Clear fees. Real choice. No surprises.
We want families to feel confident before they start. Private sessions include meals, snacks, care essentials and activities. For government-funded hours, your child’s funded education is free at the point of use, and any meals, snacks, consumables or optional extras are explained clearly so you can choose what works best for your family.

Government funding pays for the early education and childcare hours your child is entitled to. It does not automatically cover meals, snacks, consumables or optional extras. These charges are voluntary for funded-hours families: you may provide your own packed meal/snacks and suitable consumables instead, subject to our health, safety and allergy requirements. Speak with Management and we will agree the arrangement in writing before your child starts.

What’s included when we provide everything
For private sessions, and for funded-hours families who choose our meals and consumables package, we make the day simple: the main things your child needs are already here. You only need to bring labelled spare clothes and a comforter if your child has one.

Government Funding
ME Montessori is a registered government-funded childcare provider. We offer funded places subject to age-group availability, staffing ratios and agreed session patterns. We will confirm your available funded-hours pattern before your child starts, including whether the hours are taken term-time only or stretched across the year.
All 3 & 4 year olds
Every child aged 3–4 is entitled to 15 funded hours per week (38 weeks per year), regardless of parents’ working status. No application needed — your child is automatically eligible from the term after their third birthday.
Eligible working families
Working parents of 3–4 year olds may qualify for 30 funded hours per week. Eligibility is based on income and employment. Apply at gov.uk/apply-30-hours-free-childcare — you will need your code before term starts.
Working parents — younger children
Since April 2024, eligible working parents can access funded hours from 9 months old. From September 2025, this rises to up to 30 hours per week. ME Montessori enrols from 5 months — we can plan your transition in advance.
Funded-hours choices, clearly explained: Your child’s funded entitlement covers their early education and childcare hours. Meals, snacks, consumables and optional extras are separate from the funded entitlement, clearly agreed in advance, and never a condition of taking up a funded place.
Most families choose the package because it keeps the nursery day simple. If you choose it, current charges are: hot lunch £7.50/day and consumables £2 per funded hour. Consumables include nappies, wipes, sunscreen, arts and crafts materials, messy-play resources and everyday care essentials.
Important: These charges are voluntary. Families may opt out by speaking with Management. If you opt out, we will agree what you will provide from home, taking account of health, safety, allergy and nursery operational requirements.
